Weeks of Summer: Part 2

After a few trips to the subdivision pool the boys all had colds so we took a break from swimming. On Wednesday, June 12th Ethan had Day Camp for Scouts and was gone from 8:30-3pm learning all sorts of things.
He showed me the target he shot at with a BB gun and a little wooden plane he made. He said his favorite part was Archery and he is determined that he will have a bow and arrow of his very own in the near future. That's just what we need around here...an accident waiting to happen.
Ethan & Kamden have been working towards earning half of the money for a new bike and Ethan got to get his after a lot of vacuuming, taking out the trash, unloading the dishwasher, and anything else I needed. He hasn't done a single chore since he brought the bike home, though, so we'll have to think of something else to work towards I guess. Kamden is almost there, just $8.50 shy and he'll be there before too long. He already knows exactly which bike he wants and talks about it all the time.
On Monday night we had a visit from Jeff's parents and we also had Wade, Lauren, and Michelle over for dinner that evening. Kamden was SO happy to get the silver dollars from Grandpa Stoker for the teeth he's been loosing left and right. He'll have another one under his pillow before too long.
On Friday we went camping with my parents, Shelly & Bryan, Eric, Kristen, Logan, Zach, & Isabelle, Jeffrey, Joe & Guin, Eric, and my older brother's family who was visiting from Iowa, Eric, Jessica, Dylan, Tanner, & Dominick.
We missed Ryan & Charly, but since her due date was the Thursday before we left, we all understood why they couldn't join us.
We're looking forward to meeting our new niece!
We drove to Sagehen Reservoir on Friday and along the way we saw a deer and enjoyed the scenery, even though I'd forgotten how "Mountainous" the roads were.
The weekend was full of fishing, some hiking, boating, eating, marshmallow-roasting, 4-wheeling, and catching up.

On Saturday Jeff & I took the boys 4-wheeling up a winding road and we found a nice little stream at the top where we stopped to play until Ethan decided to ignore our warnings & jumped from one rock to the next, slipped, & hurt himself.
It's not an adventure unless someone ends up bruised & in tears.

That afternoon we all went on a nature hike to see some waterfalls, it was the same trail Jeff & I hiked 10 years ago when we camped with my family before my younger brother left on his mission.
My brother said about Jeff: "We'll never see that guy again."
Then he came home from Italy 2 years later, Jeff & I were married & Ethan was 8 months old!

Miraculously no one died or was seriously injured.

Before leaving camp we forced the kids to take a moss-mustache picture because it's tradition...
