Kamden's 1st Grade Field Trip

Today Kamden went on a field trip with the 1st graders to the Idaho Botanical Gardens and the MK Nature Center. Owen, Olivia, & I joined them at a park for lunch.

Music Programs

Last week the boys both had music programs.
Ethan's was for Memorial Day and he drew that awesome spoon he is standing next to.
Kamden's was a Bug/Picnic themed program and he played an Army Ant. He had a speaking part which I have on video but I haven't had time to get it on here.
This is what he said:
"They've spread it right there on the ground,
We don't even have to climb!
Come on, Bugs, let's do our thing.
At last, it's suppertime!"
My mom and my Great Aunt Dot came to watch.

Beach Baby

Miss Olivia had her first visit to the pool in our subdivision last week and I must say, she is about the cutest thing EVER.
It's exhausting being that adorable.

Owen's Chest Hair

One morning Owen ran into my room full of excitement and exclaiming about his chest hair.
You can see it on the right side of the photo...just above his ribs that seem to be protruding and making him look like a starving child (which I assure you, he is NOT)
Turns out the "chest hair" was only a marker smudge and it sadly washed off later that evening in the shower.

Soccer 2014 Season

We had a great time watching the boys play soccer this season and they absolutely loved it. It was nice to see Ethan & Kamden working together since they were on the same team.
This was Owen's first time playing sports and he did such a good job...when he remembered to take his hands out of his pockets!
He even scored some goals, but everyone's favorite part were the after-game snacks!

When Daddy Comes Home...

Jeff has been traveling quite a bit lately for his new position at work and we are always so glad when he comes home.
I snapped a few photos of him reading to our kiddos the other night.
Life isn't always perfect, but there are plenty of perfect moments.

Cuteness Overload...

Memorial Day 2014

For Memorial Day we went to the zoo and had planned on going to the library downtown but forgot that it would be closed...so we strolled along the greenbelt for awhile and wandered over to the BSU campus.
I am one lucky lady to have so many handsome men bringing me flowers:
And of course no walk is complete without a stick or two...
And some photo ops around the campus...do you see creeper Ethan trying to hide from the camera?

There were so many things to see and climb on and over and under...
After climbing over these bike racks Kamden said "THAT hurt..." then squared his shoulders as he looked ahead and said,
"Three more to go."
Sadly, we weren't in time
for the Quidditch Tournament.
We wanted to go ring the bell that Jeff & I had walked to and rung on our first date, but it wasn't there anymore so the boys ran around the tennis courts for a bit before we continued on.
Then it got really hot as we walked back to the car and none of us thought we were going to make it. It's a good thing we weren't Pioneers. We made a quick stop by Sonic for some slushes before going home. Jeff took the kids to the pool while Olivia and I rested at home. It was a fun and relaxing day, and we are so thankful to those who have sacrificed so much so that we can live in this wonderful country.
Happy Memorial Day!

Beware the Swamp Monsters...

Last Saturday we went over to my parents' house to help with some yard work and the boys stayed busy most of the day playing in the mud.
They had a great time and I love that they have so much fun playing in the ditch and the mud together.

May The Force Be With You

The boys really love going to Grandma's house...and it doesn't hurt that there is a closet full of Star Wars toys left behind by Uncle Ryan to play with.

Olivia Leu is 3 Months Old

On Saturday our Livy Leu was 3 months old.
The time has just flown by but it's hard to remember life without her. She has the sweetest spirit and is honestly ALWAYS happy and content. She has been such a great sleeper and I can't even say how thankful I am for that. She loves to talk with us and giggles every now and then. Olivia loves bath time and the swing her cousin loaned us. There are butterflies above it and when they turn on they go around and light up. When we set her in the swing she quickly looks up at the butterflies and waits for us to turn them on. They stop on their own after awhile and if we wait to long to get them going again she starts to fuss until we do. She even has some quiet conversations with them once in awhile.
She looks forward to Saturdays when she can cheer on her big brothers at their soccer games while keeping me company on the sidelines.
