Spring Break 2013

 Spring Break is finally here!
It seems like we've been counting down the days and weeks for months and months. The boys have been wanting to go with Jeff when he's out of town on business but with them being in school it doesn't work out very often. They LOVE staying in a hotel and swimming until their skin is beyond the prune stage.
On Friday the boys got out of school and they went home with my dad after he finished work. All 3 of them stayed the night with Grandma & Grandpa...although I'm not sure you can call it a sleep over when everyone is up until 1 o'clock in the morning.
They had a great time playing Monopoly, jumping on the trampoline, and getting to see their cousin Isabelle.
Jeff & I spent the evening in, we each made our own pizza and watched movies then went to the temple Saturday morning. We stopped for lunch at Costa Vida where we ran into Ethan's school teacher, which was kinda funny since it was Spring Break & we've never seen her outside of school any other time. Then we picked the boys up and headed home.
On Sunday we went to church before having some of our good friends from Emmett over for dinner that afternoon. It was so nice to see them, we sure miss them and their sweet girls!
Owen & Kaydee tried on a few pairs of my shoes. Kaydee had on my black knee-high boots and said "I want these!" They looked pretty good on her, but she probably needs a few years to grow into them.
Owen, on the other hand, walked better in my snake-skin heels than I do!
On Monday we headed to Burley where we spent a few days while Jeff worked.
We swam and visited Grandparents, played with cousins, went to the movies and saw The Croods in 3D, and swam some more.
Here's Owen with his cousin, Coltin.
Usually you can tell without a doubt that these two are the youngest in their families and used to it. They don't get along a lot of the time and argue about who had the toy truck first or who's Grandpa Grandpa Stoker is. But they had a great time at the pool!
We came home on Wednesday night and spent most of Thursday at home catching up on laundry and unpacking. Jeff had promised the boys a campout in the TV room so we set up our small tent with the air mattress and they spent the evening watching Star Wars. Jeff had to sneak out of the tent after they were all snoring.

On Friday we had planned to go to the zoo after lunch but when we saw how full the parking lot was and that the line was around the corner we decided to go on an adventure instead. We drove around for a bit until we found an Elementary school where we played for awhile. The boys had each gotten a 25 cent bouncy ball at Old Navy earlier that morning and that kept them occupied for awhile.
I am having a hard time believing that this is my baby:

Owen is going to be 4 in a few months and going to PreSchool in the fall. The other day I was thinking how strange it's going to be in a little more than a year when he will be in Kindergarten 5 days a week and I'll be all alone.
(And no, that doesn't mean it's time for another one)
He is such a sweet little stinker.
He knows how to throw a fit but he also knows how to melt my heart. He is always bringing me things, I can never have enough dandelions and last night he picked me 2 fistfulls of clover from the backyard. Today he found me the tiniest little flower and was so thrilled to give it to me.
We went & saw Wreck It Ralph a few weeks ago & there's one part in the movie where Ralph yells
"I love my Momma!"
The boys have several favorite lines from the movie that they've been quoting ever since, but that one's my favorite.
There haven't been any pictures of Kamden yet, and here's why...Our Babe has a cold and hasn't been feeling that great since yesterday. I think all that pool water was just too much for him. After running around with Ethan for a bit he sat underneath one of the slides. I kept calling him over but he didn't budge until he said he needed to go to the bathroom. Jeff was going to walk with him over past the baseball fields to the port-a-potty.
Owen needed to go too and pretty soon we were all on our way over when I looked and saw Kamden laying on the ground and Jeff running over to him. I hurried over & could hear Kamden crying and Jeff had a sweatshirt pressed to Kamden's forehead. I couldn't figure out what had happened, & neither could Jeff since it'd happened so quickly.
There was a tall gate that was open with a latch that stuck out as high as Kamden's forehead. We figure the wind must have blown the gate open and it smacked him right in the face, the latch sliced his forehead open & now he'll have a nice Harry Potter scar to help him pick up chicks.
Not that he needs help in that department.
It knocked him flat on the ground and these pictures hurt my heart, he looks so sad. But we got him cleaned up and I had a bandaid in my purse. I couldn't decide if he needed stitches or not, but the Pharmacist at Walgreens was kind enough to take a look at it & said if we keep it clean the butterfly bandages should do the trick.
So we called it a day & went home to rest.
We're going to spend the Easter weekend at my parents' house & the boys can hardly wait to color eggs & visit Grandma & Grandpa again.
