Olivia Leu: 5 1/2 Months

Miss Livy Leu is 5 1/2 months already...it is unbelievable that she is nearly half a year old. Crazy! She is much more vocal lately and has realized that she has us all wrapped around her finger. If we even THINK about setting her down she lets us know that is a bad idea and cries so that we'll hold her. Some days it's difficult to get things done when all she wants is to be held, but there are lots of people in the house willing to snuggle with her. Of course, the boys think I'm quite awful if I let her cry it out for a minute or two while I switch a load of laundry or attempt to fix dinner. And they ask to hold her but then they get distracted and just move her from one spot in the house to another, and leave her. That doesn't make her happy at all. But I would let the laundry sit for weeks if it meant I could just sit and snuggle this little girl all day!
She is getting more interested in toys and that's been fun to watch, especially as she carries on a conversation with a stuffed giraffe or watches herself in the mirror. She grabs onto things and the other day she pulled Ethan's flip flop right off his foot. She likes to have a blanket up by her face when she naps and if there's no blanket then she puts her arm across her eyes. Olivia has been testing out solids for the past few weeks and she absolutely LOVES sweet potatoes. The only other thing she's tried is pears and I'm pretty sure those gave her the runs so we haven't attempted those again yet. But she watches us intently whenever we eat and it always makes us feel bad.
Last Sunday was our first time in our new ward and Olivia and I spent a lot of the 3rd hour in the hall while she tried to decide if she was going to nap or not. I took these pictures during her happy moments but eventually she gave up and slept most of the way home.
