Saturday Outing

A few Saturdays ago we loaded the kids up and went to an indoor arcade. They each got a $5 game card and played until it ran out, then they got to redeem their points for prizes.
It's a fun way to burn some energy and they just love it!

Olivia

Livy Leu has been quite busy growing and growing and GROWING. She hasn't started walking yet, or crawling for that matter...because she scoots around on her little bum anywhere and everywhere she wants to go. She pulls herself up against the furniture and cruises along but won't let go. One of her favorite things is for us to walk her around while standing behind her and holding her hands.
Her absolute most favorite place to be is in her closet playing with her shoes and pulling all of the hair bows and headbands out of the basket.
Since her Boys are at school all day, Olivia tags along with Mom & Dad and she went to lunch with us a few weeks ago. She was such a big girl sitting up in the booth and sharing a taco salad with me.
She has both of her top teeth as well as the 2 bottom teeth and she gives the cheesiest smiles sometimes. But she also likes to grind them together and drive me CRAZY!

She is most definitely a Daddy's Girl, though, and gets so excited when he comes home and when we talk to him on the phone throughout the day. She always wants to hold the phone but usually hangs up accidentally, and she slobbers all over it trying to give Daddy kisses.
She had her 12 month check up on March 9th and weighed 21.8 pounds.
She is a healthy, happy girl and we are so grateful for the light and love that she brings to our family. She is honestly always so happy, the Pediatrician said she is one of the happiest 12 month olds she has ever seen. Even in the mornings when she wakes up, Olivia is just happy. I need to learn from her and be more pleasant when I wake up!

Kamden

Kamden has been hard at work earning a Student of the Month award.
He got his report card today and is above or exceeding expectations in each of the categories. He's been doing such a great job at school and at home, but he is definitely looking forward to Spring Break so he can sleep in!
He also looks stylin' wearing my sunglasses on our way to pick Ethan up from scouts.

Whatcha Got Cookin'

Little Miss Liv is cookin up a storm and enjoying some pasta!

Olivia's Hospital Stay

Last Saturday Oliva had a runny nose and was drooling a lot.
I thought it was just side effects from teething.
Later that evening she was running a fever and she slept a lot on Sunday. Monday I could tell she just didn't feel well, but I knew there was a head cold going around. By that evening she sounded really raspy so Tuesday I took her to see the Dr.
When we got there they took us straight back and started hooking her up to machines to check her oxygen level.
I realized it was more serious than I'd thought when they started talking about her being right on the verge of needing to be hospitalized because she wasn't getting enough oxygen.
There wasn't much they could do for her so we went home with instructions to come back the next day.
The Dr called that evening to see how she was doing and wanted me to bring her in at 9am.
Her oxygen levels were lower than the day before and we were sent to the hospital.

Olivia had Bronchiolitis and possibly RSV, but the Dr said they weren't going to test for it because they would still give her the same treatment either way.
Thankfully my Mom was able to come stay with the boys and hold things together at the house so that Jeff & I could be with Olivia.

She was a trooper through it all, but she really didn't like the tubes in her nose when they first put them on.
She had to be suctioned out quite a bit during our stay, but by Thursday she was sounding so much better and starting to get back to her happy self.
She was especially excited to see her brothers:
They kept us until Friday evening because weaning her off the oxygen didn't go as smoothly as hoped.
We are so thankful to have our happy girl back, and she was sure ready to come home! I think we were both getting a bit stir-crazy in that room.

Turtle Soup

The boys got some pretty sweet footie Ninja Turtle jammies for Christmas and for some reason one of their favorite things to do is stuff pillows down them...whatever it takes to keep them entertained, I guess!

Mr. Squish

Owen has been adjusting to having his own room, going to Kindergarten 1/2 day 5 days a week, and moving for the 5th time in his life.
It's been quite the adjustment, but we are enjoying our mornings together and for the most part he's been handling it all pretty well.
Sometimes he eats lunch in Olivia's high chair...
And he loves to snuggle with Baby Liv at bedtime:
He also makes good use of my tub:
And last week they had PIRATE DAY at school:
